Your Investment
The Cost
The licence fee for a Sleep United franchise is £34,950 (plus VAT).
This includes:
Full training and certification
Start-up package to help launch your showroom
Initial Stock
Stationery, branding, and marketing materials
Listing on the company website & other marketing channels
Ongoing support
On top of this, you will need to consider the cost of your premises, which is likely to include leasing and making ready to trade. The exact amount you need can vary depending on a number of factors, such as property costs, which can change a great deal from area to area. You will also need to consider a certain amount of working capital to help you get started.
However, thanks to the essential simplicity of our retail model, you can expect these costs to be relatively low. Based on the setup costs of our currently established site, we estimate the total all-in cost of opening your own Sleep United outlet to be between £40,000 and £50,000 (plus VAT).
As franchising is rightfully seen by many banks as one of the safest and most stable ways of starting a business, you should find that most lenders will view your application favourably, should you need help raising the money.
Ongoing costs
Joining a franchise is all about being in business for yourself so, of course, you can expect the vast majority of the money you make to stay with you. However, there are some small, ongoing costs associated with being part of a franchise.
Unlike many other franchises, however, Sleep United does not charge any subscription or service fees. Instead, we make a small margin on the cost of supplying your stock and charge for deliveries. This way, the cost of working with us is directly related to how much you sell, and how much stock you need, and you can enjoy the vast majority of the money you make.
We are happy to share some illustrative figures with you if you decide to enquire further about the Sleep United franchise opportunity.
